This course will guide you on how to begin or progress a meditation practice in a simple, bite-sized format. Learn the fundamentals for establishing your own meditation practice through a time-tested systematic method based in the yoga tradition. When you join a meditation group (even online), it adds a felt sense of support and collaboration.

Sandra Tedeschi will lead the sessions. She has been practicing yoga for 20+ years and is a student of meditation under the Himalayan Tradition.

What is the type of Yoga?

The principal type of yoga is Vinyasa Flow, which is generally more active and dynamic to build strength, increase flexibility, and transform energy. Some classes will be a yin or restorative yoga.  Breath exercises are an integral part of each class. All levels of yoga are welcome. The premise is always – Start where you are.

A fundamental concept of the practice is to reduce and eliminate unhealthy stress so that the body-mind can regenerate, heal, and transform to its optimal state.

Please note for the group online classes you will need to be extra aware of your alignment since you will not be seen by the teacher. Take care to know when to refrain from a certain movement or pose that does not feel right for you.

Who is a typical retreat guest?

Most of our retreat guests are solo travelers, then friends joining together, family members, or couples. They are women and men from across the U.S., Canada and farther aboard and range in age on average from late 20s to 60s. They are usually working professionals who prefer the comforts of a more upscale hotel that maintains a casual, low-key style. The level of yoga experience ranges from beginner to more experienced.
