What is the climate and weather like in February in San Miguel de Allende?

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, has a highly desirable semi-arid, temperate climate influenced by its location in the central highlands at an altitude of approximately 6,400 feet above sea level. This elevation keeps the weather pleasant, dry, and comfortable year-round, avoiding the extreme tropical heat found in other parts of Mexico.

February weather in San Miguel de Allende is beautifully mild, dry, and features the clearest skies of the entire year. This month is defined by greater temperature swings between the day and night. Daily highs remain comfortable in the low 70s. and dip into the mid 40s°F at night.

What is the group size for the retreat?

The retreat group size is limited to about 12 persons (depending on single/double rooms). There is a minimum of eight people required to run the retreat. Many of our retreat guests are solo travelers. Please feel very welcome to join on your own.

What is the booking, payment, and cancellation policy?

If you are ready to join us on the San Miguel de Allende Yoga and Culture Retreat in Mexico, February 7 – 12, 2027, please complete an online Reservation Form.

This includes a non-refundable US $800 deposit to confirm your spot.

Payment and Cancelation Policy

Full payment is due by December 7, 2026.

Should you need to cancel your reservation before this date, you will receive a refund for payment made less the $800 deposit. Should you need to cancel after the final payment date, for whatever reason we will not be able to provide a refund or credit. The only exception is if your spot can be filled, your deposit can be transferred to another retreat within one year, and the balance of any payment made will be refunded, less a $150 fee.

No refund or credit will be given for arriving late or departing a retreat early or for meals/activities in which one does not participate.

If force majeure (e.g. pandemic, natural disaster, government travel restrictions, etc.) causes a retreat to be canceled we will offer alternative dates to reschedule the retreat within one year. In this case, there is no refund of payments when a retreat cannot be held due to causes beyond our control. If the traveler is unable to join at the rescheduled date, full or partial credit of their payment may be applicable towards another Vajra Sol retreat. This will be determined at the time as it depends on how far out it is from the retreat start date.

In the unlikely event Vajra Sol needs to cancel the retreat for a non-force majeure reason, a full refund will be given. Vajra Sol will not be held liable for any expenses incurred by the participant for a retreat cancelled either by the participant or by Vajra Sol.

Can I extend my stay at the hacienda?

The retreat property is reserved exclusively for the retreat dates, so additional nights at the hacienda are not available. There are many hotel options in San Miguel if you would like to arrive early or stay after the retreat. In the registration pre-arrival information we include recommended hotels.

What should I pack for the trip to San Miguel?

Every detail was taken care of – Great combination of yoga, touring, wonderful food and accommodations and plenty of extras! First trip and likely not the last!

Mark, Idaho

The planning for our adventures was exhaustive and flawless while the yoga was threaded into every moment. Sandra teaches that yoga is not just about the asana or what you do on your mat. It’s a way of life worth living with others. As for the accommodations, food & service – everything was top notch.

Christina, Labrador, Canada

This was my third retreat with Sandra, I have been to Costa Rica twice and enjoyed my retreats so much there. I again traveled solo to this retreat and felt safe and confident the entire time. If you’re looking for a superbly organized adventure, mixed with spirituality and fun then do yourself a favour and go on retreat with Vajra Sol!
