August 24 – 29, 2021 (*sold out*/waitlist)
Experience western mountain culture on a private family-run ranch. Our retreat location is in the northern reach of Flathead Valley, the great outdoors of Northwest Montana. It is surrounded by glacial mountains, crystal clear lakes, and scenic rivers. It is a 10-minute drive from the mountain town of Whitefish and 30 minutes from Glacier National Park.
Through systematic movement, breathwork, and cultivating inner silence and stillness we are able to heal, to strengthen our bodies physically, emotionally, and mentally, and to evolve as conscious individuals. Taking time for a getaway in Nature under the guidance of the yogic powers that be is a valuable gift to give yourself.
Glacier National Park
Glacier is one of the crown jewels of the U.S. National Parks System. We will spend a full day in the park, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, on a scenic day hike. Glacier is known for its abundant wildlife and wildflowers, and its turquoise, iceberg studded lakes tucked into glacial cirques. It is a World Heritage Site and nature enthusiast’s paradise.

What is the Yoga like and who leads the retreat?
The practice of yoga is learning to refine and deepen our relationship to our life force. We then are able to heal, to strengthen our bodies physically, emotionally, and mentally, and to evolve as conscious individuals.
Theyoga sessions are for mixed levels with modifications offered for beginners to the more experienced practitioner. All levels of yoga experience are welcome! The type of yoga is Vinyasa Flow which is a more active and dynamic practice and some classes are restorative yoga. Guided meditation and other non-asana yogic practices are included.
Sandra, the owner of Vajra Sol, leads most of the retreats. She has been practicing and studying yoga for more than 25 years. See About Us page to learn more about her background.
What are the retreat health safety and Covid-related protocols?
Vajra Sol retreats are offered and facilitated under the primary premise that the overall well-being of all guests is priority.
If prior to arrival, a retreat participant feels ill, has a fever, or has been around someone who has symptoms flu-like symptoms, they are asked to stay home and not travel to the retreat. Travel insurance is highly recommended as the nature of Covid-19 is unpredictable.
While on retreat we ask that everyone takes care of sanitary practices and respect each other’s personal space. At the same time, we want to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
These are the Health Safety/Covid-19 Protocols from our hosts at the Ranch. These are subject to change pending the situation.
Guests will be required to sign a waiver specifically about Covid-19 and assuming the risk associated with travel during this outbreak.
If a guest feels ill, has a fever, or has been around someone that has symptoms of Covid, they are asked to stay home and not travel to the ranch. Travel insurance is highly recommended as the nature of Covid-19 is unpredictable.
We will take everyone’s temperature upon arrival. If someone has a temperature, they will kindly be escorted to a hotel and/or hospital for testing. They will not be permitted on the property as they will be putting every guest and staff member at risk.
Our staff will have their temperature checked daily. If a staff member has any symptoms or has been around someone showing symptoms, they will not be permitted to come to work.
Our staff will wear masks when closely interacting with guests.
When guests are in our company van, they are required to wear a face mask as they will be in close proximity. We will be picking guests up from the airport, so they must ensure that they are traveling with a mask.
We will provide hand sanitizer in all buildings as well as disinfecting wipes near bathrooms if someone wants to take any extra precautions during their stay.
We will sanitize bathrooms and communal areas multiple times a day, but we will not be doing daily room service. Trash and dishes will be cleared, but beds will not be made this year. If you have a private bathroom, it will not be cleaned during the stay. Towels will still be refreshed upon request.
Our staff will handle and serve all food to ensure that there is no cross-contamination amongst guests. Guests are highly recommended to bring their own water bottles to carry with them throughout their stay.

What is your payment and cancellation policy?
* This policy is applicable for COVID-19 related cancelations *
A completed reservation form and a non-refundable $800 deposit confirm your booking. Full payment is due by June 15, 2021. Should you need to cancel your reservation before the final payment due date you will receive a refund for payment made less the $800 deposit unless a replacement can be found.
Should you need to cancel after the final payment due date, for whatever reason we will not be able to provide a refund or credit unless a replacement is found.
If force majeure (e.g. pandemic, natural disaster, country travel restrictions, etc.) causes a retreat to be canceled, we will offer a rescheduled date for the retreat. In this case, there is no refund of payments when a retreat cannot be held due to causes beyond our control. If you are unable to join at the rescheduled date, a portion of your payment may be applicable for a transfer to a different retreat in the future. This will be determined at the time and depends on factors such as how far out it is from the retreat date.
In the unlikely event Vajra Sol needs to cancel a retreat for non–force majeure reasons, a full refund will be given. Vajra Sol will not be held liable for expenses incurred by the guest for any type of cancelation. No refunds are provided for arriving late or departing the retreat early, for activities or meals in which one does not participate.
It is our best intention to lessen the concerns around booking a retreat by offering additional flexibility with a retreat cancelation in this era of COVID-19 travel. It is important you are comfortable with your travel plans. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
This policy is subject to change until a reservation is confirmed.
Should I buy retreat trip insurance?
Purchasing trip insurance is strongly recommended for coverage of any unplanned changes that may occur before or during your trip, such as trip cancelation, delayed flights, lost luggage, emergency medical assistance, and more.

I am so happy I took a plunge and decided to join Sandra’s retreat in Montana. Travel restrictions and uncertainty of Covid’s ebbs were the reasons for hesitation, but Sandra’s magic positivity, calm, professionalism made all worries recede. It is my second retreat with Sandra … the whole enjoyable, meaningful flow of those 5 days appeared to unfold so effortlessly.
