Retreat Highlights

Ranch Life

Experience western mountain culture on a private family-run ranch. Our retreat location is in the northern reach of Flathead Valley, the great outdoors of Northwest Montana. It is surrounded by glacial mountains, crystal clear lakes, and scenic rivers. It is a 10-minute drive from the mountain town of Whitefish and 30 minutes from Glacier National Park.

Yoga

Through systematic movement, breathwork, and cultivating inner silence and stillness we are able to heal, to strengthen our bodies physically, emotionally, and mentally, and to evolve as conscious individuals. Taking time for a getaway in Nature under the guidance of the yogic powers that be is a valuable gift to give yourself.

Glacier National Park

Glacier is one of the crown jewels of the U.S. National Parks System. We will spend a full day in the park, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, on a scenic day hike. Glacier is known for its abundant wildlife and wildflowers, and its turquoise, iceberg studded lakes tucked into glacial cirques. It is a World Heritage Site and nature enthusiast’s paradise.

FAQ

What is the Yoga like and who leads the retreat?

The practice of yoga is learning to refine and deepen our relationship to our life force. We then are able to heal, to strengthen our bodies physically, emotionally, and mentally, and to evolve as conscious individuals.

The yoga sessions are for mixed levels with modifications offered for beginners to the more experienced practitioner. All levels of yoga experience are welcome! The type of yoga is hatha and slow flow vinyasa which is a more active and dynamic practice. Some classes are restorative yoga to focus on the yin energy. Guided meditation, pranayama (breathwork), and other non-asana yogic practices are included.

I am so happy I took a plunge and decided to join Sandra’s retreat in Montana. Travel restrictions and uncertainty of Covid’s ebbs were the reasons for hesitation, but Sandra’s magic positivity, calm, professionalism made all worries recede. It is my second retreat with Sandra … the whole enjoyable, meaningful flow of those 5 days appeared to unfold so effortlessly.
