Stand Up Paddle
& Yoga Retreat

Santa Teresa Beach, Pacific Coast, Costa Rica

2012:

March 4 - 10

November 11 - 17

July 8 - 14

December 9 - 15

Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) has become the most popular emerging water sport today due to its accessibility for anyone who wants to try, its ease to learn and the fun and work-out that results. SUP and Yoga are a perfect match from the physical overall body conditioning to improved balance and mental clarity to the profound sense of spiritual connection with the elements of Mother Nature.

Our SUP & Yoga Retreat is located in the town of Santa Teresa, one of the best Pacific beaches in Costa Rica for its expansiveness and beautiful scenery. The various beaches along Santa Teresa cover about three miles of coastline and are ideal for hanging out under a palm tree, for taking long walks or exploring the tide pools. It has also been rated in the top 10 beaches in the world on TripAdvisor and, due to its relative remoteness, it has been protected from any over-development and maintains a low-key feel.

Stand Up Paddlers at Beach

This retreat is ideal for those who enjoy an active and healthy vacation and want to learn Stand Up Paddling, or take it to the next level, and explore the breathtaking beaches on the Nicoya Peninsula. Water temperatures are in the low to mid 80sF so no wetsuit is needed.

For more about the style of yoga offered please see the page on Yoga or request to receive the complete retreat document. All levels are welcome.

Stand Up Paddle Instructors

Vajra Sol Stand Up Paddle Instructor

The SUP instructors are experienced, professional and will ensure you have a safe and fun time out on the water. They are locals to the area and know well how to read the water and where best to guide you.

The first SUP session is focused on learning the basic skills and safety. The learning curve is high and no previous experience is needed. Be out on the board gliding across the water your first day! We stay on flat water for all outings. For those more experienced and ready to take it to the next level there is option to surf waves. Each day we will explore a different location along this stunning and lush coastline. For more information and to get inspired about SUPing, the following websites will provide that for you.
