The Pure Yoga option on our Costa Rica Yoga Retreat is perfect for a deeper immersion into one’s practice. This means you opt for only yoga classes without additional activities (e.g. surfing or stand up paddle). Each day includes a 1.5-2-hour morning or afternoon yoga class. All yoga classes are suitable for beginner to more advanced practitioners. Classes are held in a beautiful open-air yoga shala, surrounded by tropical gardens and with an ocean breeze. Yoga mats and props are provided for all retreat guests.
The yoga classes are led by the resident teacher (or another Vajra Sol yoga teacher) and are dynamic and energizing. It is the perfect way to begin the day.
Sandra teaches yoga classes during retreats for the group. Each day will focus on a different posture category and theme. Some days will be more yang with a stronger flow and others will be more yin with a softer, introspective, and restorative style with meditation and breathing exercises. In her classes, Sandra creates an inspiring and nurturing environment with an emphasis on the balance between the playfulness and challenge of the practice.
